Song Gi-baek - Go Kyung-pyo

An 8-year veteran announcer who is aiming to become the face of JBC, having received praise for not only his handsome looks but also his brilliant mind.
He believes that everything in the world is a 'crafted image'. Despite lacking a prominent family background and constantly struggling with his family issues that hinder his progress, Gi-baek has created the 'Announcer Song Gi-baek' we see today.
However, Gi-baek's life to achieve this... is really tiring.
He is overly conscious of others' opinions and constantly feels pressured to appear upright and perfect.

He wakes up in a different world.
Was there another me inside of me? Maybe I'm... a Hulk?

Gi-baek has changed! He casually throws out sharp words, apologizes a second later, and then throws out more harsh words. If someone were seeing Gi-baek for the first time, they'd think he's crazy.
He can no longer hide his emotions, nor can he hold back what he wants to say.
Whether it's injustice or righteousness, Gi-baek can't stand anything he doesn't like, even if it kills him.
Ultimately, everything crumbles. His career, his job, and his relationships.
However, Woo-ju, with her keen intuition, senses a 'new variety show character' in Gi-baek that no one has ever seen before. A new path, 'variety shows', opens up, a path he's never considered. If this works out, it might just be the start of Song Gi-baek's second act?

On Woo-ju - Kang Han-na

Possesses an excessive amount of positivity and passion, someone who never finds anything 'not okay'.

From A to K, writers are K. K. Ugh, a K-like world.
But! I'm okay~ I can do it~ I can do it if I try hard~

In the first 1-2 years of being a writer, you don't have money, in the next 2-3 years, you don't have time, after 4-5 years, you don't have friends, after 6-7 years, you don't have manners,
and after 8-9 years, you don't have a lover!
After 10 years, they say you lose your sense.
For On Woo-ju, a 12-year veteran writer, these words don't apply at all! She completely ignored the advice of a senior.

Woo-ju saw Gi-baek as a new continent of variety shows.
Woo-ju's instincts kick in. No matter what others say, she's going for it.

However, Gi-baek, whom she brought in to work, keeps poking at Woo-ju's heart.
Even when she says she's fine, he keeps asking why she's always fine, crossing the line.
He's so blunt and honest, even without knowing her well. It's absurd, annoying, yet comforting.
She lives with her mother, On Bok-ja, who runs a hair salon on the first floor of a multi-family house.
On Bok-ja, On Woo-ju. For Woo-ju, there's no secret about her birth.
Whether Bok-ja gave birth to Woo-ju or found her somewhere, it doesn't matter.

Kim Jung-heon - Joo Jong-hyuk

In the entertainment industry, which he thought was completely his domain, he encounters Woo-ju and Gi-baek from the past, causing his life and heart to stir.

He debuted as an idol at the age of 20 and spectacularly failed a year later.
At home, he was already considered a lost cause, and his father wasn't the type to welcome him back.
For nearly a decade, he's wandered the fringes of the broadcasting industry, doing everything from extra work and guest appearances to panels and reporting.
Then, he happened to participate in a trot audition program called 'Strongest Trot' and came in a respectable 2nd place!
He captured the hearts of mothers nationwide and became the 'national son-in-law'.

The reason he didn't stop running, from the bottom to where he is now as Kim Jung-heon, is simply one: On Woo-ju.
Jung-heon, who has always watched over her, finally finds an excuse to get closer to Woo-ju.
The feelings he's kept bottled up for so long start to spill out. He can't hide them anymore.

Song In-su - Shin Jung-geun

Song Gi-baek's father.

The icon of business failure. Instead of getting back up when he falls, he falls when he gets back up, a malfunctioning tumbler of misfortune.
After repeated business failures, he jumped into the workforce, trying his hand at almost everything.
But since a traffic accident over a decade ago that injured his leg...
His life has become solely about following Yu-jeong around and helping with her cosmetics sales.

Na Yu-jeong - Kang Ae-sim

Song Gi-baek's mother.

Unlike her husband, she loves to start ventures and is very sociable.
Instead of her husband, who caused nothing but massive losses to the family finances, she's been running around, making a living.
She's a beauty consultant for a cosmetics company.
It suits her well, and the income isn't bad either.
The reason they're currently living in this house, instead of their dilapidated blue-roofed house in the slums, is thanks to Yu-jeong.

Song Un-baek - Hwang Seong-bin

Song Gi-baek's sibling.

The owner of the neighborhood gym, 'Dapajim'. He looks like someone who loves weightlifting, with a bear-like physique and intimidating expression, and he does love weightlifting.
His outward appearance and inner self are perfectly aligned.
His gym is currently experiencing chronic financial difficulties and is temporarily closed.
He has a deep-seated resentment towards his older brother, who deals with any family matter in an impersonal way, without batting an eye.
He's not in a position or a state to be in love, but love is always unpredictable.
He falls head over heels for her, finding everything about her amazing and special.

Song Poong-baek - Lee Jin-hyuk

Song Gi-baek's younger sibling.

A fourth-year student at a provincial university.
He rarely attends classes and his grades are poor, having received two academic warnings, but he remains uninterested in academics.
He claims to be doing something, but at home, he's seen as just wasting time.
However, he fully utilizes his maknae (youngest child) tendencies, showering his mother with affection to get his allowance, and then runs away.

Yoon Ji-hoo - Go Kyu-pil
Gi-baek's older brother figure and coworker, who has known Gi-baek since childhood and knows every little thing about him.
He was a 'handsome guy' announcer when he joined the company, but now he's a character doll assisting 'Unni' and 'Hyung' in children's programs, with no one calling for him.

On Bok-ja - Baek Joo-hee
She met Woo-ju after nearly dying from a disease in her youth.
That's also around when she parted ways with the man who was her first and last love.
At a time when she wanted to give up on everything, she met the abandoned child, Woo-ju, and raised her as her own daughter.
For Bok-ja, Woo-ju was truly her 'whole world'.
She lives as a talented hairstylist and a tarot card reader, 'Madam On'.

Chae Yeon - Kim Sae-byeok

A natural broadcaster who loves people and jumps at any opportunity.
She is Woo-ju's neighbor, older/younger sister, and coworker.

Lee Ha-yeong - Lee Bom-sori

After experiencing the ups and downs of life, including a flashy single life, a seemingly enviable married life, and a proud divorced life, she finally returns to Korea.
After an unusual marriage and a lightning-fast divorce, she returns to Korea after a two-year global hiatus and joins Woo-ju's writing team.
If Woo-ju is a 'wild boar' charging forward towards her goals, Ha-yeong is a 'fox' who identifies obstacles and takes the shortest route.
She's a clever strategist who knows how to fully utilize, if not exceed, her strengths.
She maintains a subtle senior/junior relationship with Woo-ju, working as a colleague and rival on the same team.

Lee Min-gu - Lee Min-gu

The only male writer on Woo-ju's writing team.

A model of efficiency and competence.
Acknowledged as Woo-ju's right-hand man.

Seong Ina - Patricia

Youngest Writer

The youngest writer on Woo-ju's writing team.

Jeong Gu-won - Park Jae-jun

An old soul for his age.
The healing fairy of the neighborhood, literally.
A child with a fairy-like secret.

Mami Ra - Kim Young-ju

A veteran manager with 20 years of experience.
She cares for and looks after all the entertainers she manages,
but her affection for Jung-heon is stronger than anyone else's.

Kim Young-won - Hong Seo-jun

The founder and former chairman of the large entertainment agency Forever C&C.
He has since retired from the industry.
A romantic who carries the pain of his first love with him forever.
